Chen Qun, Vice Mayor of Shanghai; Wang Ping, Director of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, and Li Yongzhi, Deputy Director of the Commission; Lin Zaiyong, Party Secretary of Shanghai Normal University (SHNU), Yuan Wen, President of SHNU, and Jiang Mingjun, Vice President of SHNU; as well as Professor Ding Gang from East China Normal University attended the inauguration ceremony. Officials from the General Office of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, the Shanghai Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, and relevant departments of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission also participated.
The ceremony was chaired by Zhang Minxuan, Director of the UNESCO Teacher Education Centre (TEC). Shahbaz Khan, Director of the UNESCO Beijing Office, extended congratulations on TEC’s relocation to its brand-new office building via video link.
