
WANG Jie is Professor at the Research Institute for International and Comparative Education. She holds a PhD from the East-China Normal University and Bachelor of Science from Shanghai Normal University. In 2016, Dr. Wang was appointed as a short-term education consultant of the World Bank.
Dr. Wang has been a biology teacher for three years at Nanyang Senior High School in Shanghai. She was a director of Center for Teacher and director of Division of Curriculum/Teaching Development Research for nine years in Shanghai Academy of Educational Sciences. Her work mainly focuses on in-service teachers’ education and science education. She has chaired a number of education research sponsored by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, including Plan for the Construction of Basic Education Teachers in Shanghai in 12th Five-Year, Plan for the Construction of Basic Education Teachers in Shanghai in 13th Five-Year. Since 2014, she engaged in TALIS project in Shanghai. In 2015, she was a NPM of TALIS2018 Video Study on Teaching.
