On the afternoon of July 28, Hu Zhiping, Deputy Director of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) under the Ministry of Education, and He Wei, Director of the Standards, Examination and Assessment Division of CLEC, paid a visit to the UNESCO Teacher Education Centre (TEC). Professor Zhang Minxuan, Director of TEC; Professor Wang Jie, Associate Professor Zhu Xiaohu, and Part-time Deputy Director Zhang Huafeng, all Deputy Directors of TEC; and Professor Cao Xiuling, Dean of the College of International Chinese Studies at Shanghai Normal University, attended the research meeting.

Professor Zhang Minxuan extended a warm welcome to Deputy Director Hu Zhiping and his delegation from CLEC. He invited them to visit TEC’s hardware facilities, including conference halls, micro-teaching classrooms, and the library, and introduced TEC’s development history, four core functions, and recently launched projects.
Deputy Director Hu Zhiping stated that against the backdrop of China’s efforts to build a powerful education nation, contributing to the development of global education is a shared goal of both CLEC and TEC. He noted that there is considerable room for cooperation in areas such as international Chinese language teacher training, certification, and dispatch. Director He Wei invited researchers from TEC to participate in the standard development work carried out by CLEC.
The two sides conducted further discussions on potential cooperation directions and content.
