On the 21st, the National Teachers' Congress of Kazakhstan was held at Nazarbayev University. Ms. Tamara Bosymbekovna Duisenova, Deputy Prime Minister, along with the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, Minister of Science and Higher Education, Minister of Health, and Minister of Education, attended and delivered speeches. Director Zhang Minxuan, Deputy Director Hu Guoyong, Professor Ningbo, and Associate Professor Zhang Huafeng from the UNESCO Teacher Education Centre (hereinafter referred to as the Centre) were invited to participate.

Professor Zhang Minxuan delivered a speech themed Teachers' AI Competence in Education and Teaching. He analyzed the frameworks for teachers' information technology and AI literacy proposed by countries and international organizations such as the OECD, UNESCO, the EU, and China, shared the information technology and AI tools that teachers need to master, and pointed out that in the educational transformation brought about by artificial intelligence, teachers may lose their status as knowledge monopolists, but should become masters of artificial intelligence technology, detectors of flaws in information technology, practitioners of human-machine interaction, creators of information technology in education, and inventors and users of integrating information technology with other technologies in education and teaching. Professor Zhang Minxuan's report received a warm response.

After the congress, Professor Zhang Minxuan held exchanges with the Minister and Deputy Minister of Education of Kazakhstan, and invited them to visit the Centre in the second half of the year.
