As we welcome 2026, the Teacher Education Centre under the auspices of UNESCO (UNESCO-TEC) extends its most sincere greetings to you all!
Over the past year, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals for Education (SDG 4). We have made significant strides in the fields of knowledge production, capacity building, information sharing, and technical support. To overcome geographical barriers and promote the exchange of insights, we have officially launched the new UNESCO-TEC website and WeChat account, establishing a digital bridge to connect the global educational community.
Looking ahead to 2026, while classrooms may span diverse time zones and unique cultural contexts, our mission remains focused: to nurture, empower, and support the teaching profession for the futures of all teachers. We will continue providing specialized services to policymakers, teacher educators, and teachers across nations. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies, we will offer consistent access to policy updates, exemplary professional development cases, and practical wisdom. Our goal is to foster a borderless virtual “staffroom” and a continuous online workshop for global collaboration in teacher education.
