The completion ceremony of the 2nd Hong Kong STEAM Education Leaders Exchange Program 2026 was successfully held on the morning of April 3, 2026, at the UNESCO Teacher Education Centre (hereinafter referred to as “TEC”).
Co-hosted by the Education Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (hereinafter referred to as “HKSAR Government Education Bureau”) and TEC, the ceremony was attended by representatives from the HKSAR Government Education Bureau, representatives from TEC, and all participants of the program. Ms. Chuang Yung-ping, Senior Curriculum Development Officer of the HKSAR Government Education Bureau, and Professor Zhang Minxuan, Director of TEC, delivered concluding speeches respectively.


Subsequently, all attendees witnessed the presentation of completion certificates together, drawing a successful close to the program.






On the same morning, Professor Zhang Minxuan gave a systematic presentation entitled STEM Education from the Perspective of PISA, which focused on Shanghai’s achievements in PISA participation, the core essence of STEM education, the cultivation of problem-solving abilities in the AI era, as well as the current paths for educational improvement.


The program’s success is profoundly significant for advancing Shanghai-Hong Kong educational cooperation and STEM education development. It offers Hong Kong educators a precious chance to learn from Shanghai’s experience and reflect on their practice, with mutual learning and exchanges on shared concerns laying a solid foundation for deeper future collaboration and complementary advantages.
